AC Charters has three boats to fish aboard: the 31′ Bertram, “The Wahoo,” or the 32′ Topaz, “The Wahoo II,” for the offshore fishing charters, or a 22’ Pathfinder flats boat, “Kodak Moment,” for fly fishing.

All gear and tackle are included. We have the top of the line Orvis, Penn, and Shimano just to name a few. However, you are more than welcome to bring your favorite tackle!

You are in the Atlantic Ocean fishing for Kingfish up to 50 lbs, Barracudas up to 40 lbs, Amberjacks up to 50 lbs, Tarpon 30 to 200 lbs, and also Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo and the occasional Billfish.

We also have great bottom fishing for Snapper, Grouper, Seabass, & African Pompano. You just don’t know what else you might hook when you are fishing with AC Charters Inc.

Seasonal Peaks: Trolling April to Nov.

Bottom fishing: Year round bottom fishing for Seabass, Snapper, and Grouper with the peak season ranging from November to April.

 

Amelia Island Backwater Fly Fishing and Light Tackle

When fishing the flats of Cumberland Sound to Nassau Sound aboard the “Kodak Moment” ( 22’ Pathfinder Powered with 200 hp Yamaha ) with Capt. Allen Mills, you will know you have accomplished the Anglers Dream; weather on a Fly Rod or Ultra Light Tackle.

The oyster beds are the home of many fish including Redbass, Trout, Flounder and many more. The river system hold big game as well such as Tarpon, Sharks, Cobia. You will find the best sight fishing on the grass flats for Tailing Reds and Sheep heads.

Average size of the Redbass are 3-14 lbs, Trout range from 1-10 lbs, Tarpon range 30 to 200 lbs, and Sharks range 10 to 250 lbs (Blacktips, Dusky, Bonnethead).

Amelia Island Fishing Seasons

Redbass is year round, peaking from September to April. Trout peak is October to January. Tarpon peaks between July & September.
