Offshore Fishing in Feb on Amelia Island

By Captain Allen

Offshore fishing this weekend was fired up. Fishing with Tommy and family was a blast. We started out on the jetties for reds and sheepshead and it was slow so we headed for the near shore reefs. The first stop the seabas where fired up like this one Edward is holding 16 inches caught on 15lbs tackle. We headed to another spot and we caught some nice sheepshead like this one Tommy is holding. We caught silver snapper that Charlie is holding. The snapper where chewing like crazy and they were anywhere from 4 inches to 16 inches. We fished the whole trip with light tackle 15lbs powerpro Penn spinner reels and HMG Fenwick rods. The tally for the day 6 sheepshead up to 9lbs, 100 seabass, 20 snapper, and 12 keeper ring tail snapper and one silver snapper. Thanks Tommy Travis and I had great time fishing with you all.
