October Fishing on Amelia Island
By Captain Allen

The bull reds are making their annual migration in to the beaches and the rivers. We are catching and releasing the bull reds up to 50lbs. For anglers to catch a fish of this size is a blast the smile on their face say it all. For the next four to five weeks the reds will be inshore feeding and spawning like the salmon but don’t die. We are catching some Black tip sharks like the one Shawn is holding 145lbs. the slot reds are in and we are catching puppy drum too.
The back water is starting to turn on with the cooler temperature. The trout are chewing and the reds on light tackle and it will get better as the water cools down. So Quit Wishin Let’s go Fishin!!!
