Amelia Island Shark Fishing Tours

Are you and your family searching for an exciting vacation to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? If so, an AC Charters shark fishing tour off the coast of beautiful Amelia Island could be exactly what you need!

Did you know that, in 2010, Amelia Island was ranked #5 out of the Top 10 North American Islands by Conde Nast Traveler’s readers? Amelia Island is situated near Florida’s coast, and is easily accessible by boat. When you’re on the island, you’ll feel like your worlds away, though!

When you visit us, you are bound to love our gorgeous seaport community, as it is a picturesque locale for relaxation and sightseeing, and AC Charters allows you to soak up all that Amelia Island has to offer.

Our Captain: The Shark Fishing World Record Holder!

Our AC Charters Captain Allen Mills is a native of Amelia Island, and spent his entire life fishing in the seas of Fernandina Beach, Florida to Mexico and the Bahamas.

As a matter of fact, Captain Mills has 40 years of fishing experience! Within those 40 years, he has set (and currently holds) a world record for catching Bonnet Head sharks. Seems like the right guy to lead your shark fishing charter!

Throughout his 40 years of fishing experience, Captain Mills has grown to love sight casting. This type of fishing is characterized by casts being made only when the angler sees a fish. When describing sight casting, Captain Mills concludes that it is one of life’s best natural highs to see the fish before you catch it! Therefore, he wants to share this amazing fishing experience with you during an AC Charters Amelia Island fishing tour.

  1. Amy and I went to Amelia Island for our first time March 26th through the 29th. The area was as quaint and relaxing as any southern beach location we have been too thus far. During our stay we fished with Capt. Allen on Saturday March 28th 2015. Our conditions were a bit windy and chilly but we had the last of outgoing water which proved to be all we needed. Capt. Allen took us to places we could comfortably fish and did very well. We ended up with plenty of reds with one 30″ and plenty of slot reds. We also had plenty of sheepshead with some very nice ones. Capt. Allen was able to put Amy on some of her first fishing experiences which included catfish, redfish, sheepshead and the flounder. We ended our day with a nice flounder. Our experience with AC Charters was a trip to remember and Capt. Allen was very easy to work with and worked extremely hard to make our experience a positive one. We recommend him to anyone in the area that visits. WE WILL FISH WITH HIM AGAIN SOON
